Two Days to discover the Camargue Nature Park on horseback.

Three days ride in the Luberon hills, one of the most exquisite place in Provence, a Regional Nature Park. With its forest of green and white oaks, its cliffs of limesto- ne, and its typical drystone villages, the Luberon displays an authentic and picturesque landscape well described in the famous Peter Mayles’ books. Over the hill and through the villages, come to discover the mysterious “Colorado Provencal”, fill up your senses with the fragrance of lavender and unique “Provencal herbs”, be enchanted by the savour of Provencal cuisine.

Three days in the hear of Camargue. You will croos the Natural Park, land of flamingoes, black bulls and white horses. A unique human and equestrian experience, a trip rich in history and culture, full of excitment as you will galop on the long beautiful sand beaches of the Mediterranean cost.

A Week in Provence

An introduction to trail riding, and the Luberon regional nature park. The discovery of its beautiful landscapes make beginners fears soon disappear .The kindness of the horses allows a rapid development of the rider in all gaits suitable for trail riding (walk trot and canter). A two day trail at the end of the stay (during high season) will give you a taste of travelling on horseback. The Luberon stationary ride has obtained the labelling of the Luberon regional nature park.

A trail ride in the heart of the county of Provence, country of sun light and fragrances, at the time painters and all artists prefer. Come discover all landscapes painted by Cezanne.  A week dedicated to trail riding in Provence landscapes and villages, to taste the Mediterranean food ... when local people have more time to share with you. Total immersion in riding, language and culture with optional French lessons and Provence cooking !

One week to discover riding or improve your level. Our goal is to have you discover the pleasure of riding in nature, with the minimum level to ride safely. On quiet and well balanced horses, such as our professional horses and ponys. For experienced rider, our program will allow you to perfect your level and to enjoy much more your practice on trails. Our certified riding teachers and guides all speak English, they insure riders safety in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Your accommodation is at Mas de Recaute, a farmhouse, great spot for trail departure, in the Luberon Nature Park. Riding lessons are in our other equestrian center, 20 minutes far from Mas de Recaute, well equiped with arena and nice technical trails in the hills. If you wish, you will also be able to learn how to read a map and get information about local nature. Perfect your riding level and enjoy Provence, it’s 300 sunny days each year, it’s landscapes, villages, food and wines ! Our chef Gael will delight you !

In the heart of the county of Upper-Provence, from the From the Luberon Regional Nature Park to the foot of Mount Ventoux, discover the heart of Provence. In the heart of Provence, through the Luberon natural regional park to the Rhone valley, at the foot of the “Mont Ventoux” (The Ventoux mount). This is a country basked in sunshine; wine country. You can discover the “Cotes de Luberon”, the “Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, the “Cotes du Ventoux, as well as the famous “Cotes du Rhone” such as the Beaumes-de-Venise, where the trail ends.

On the road of lavender… a trip rich in fragrances and colors, from the South Luberon to Provencal areas famous for their production of lavender : Plateau of Claparèdes, Plateau of Albion, the Country of Banon, and the foothills of the Lure Mountain. At the end of the third day, you will leave lavender country to discover the historical forest surrounding Peyruis and its two chapels, "Sainte Magdeleine" and "Saint Donat". The ride will end on the Plateau of Ganagobie and the charming village of Lurs, dominating the Country of Forcalquier and the Durance Valley, the gateway to the Plateau of Valensole… another important place for lavender, to be discovered on a next ride !
 

A wild region, country of breeding, where pastures overlook the majestuous “Verdon gorges”. Riding through typical small villages,  you will admire the landscapes and panomramas slowly unwinding before your eyes. Sometimes, a nice bridle road, for the excitement of a canter in beautiful forests. Sometimes, small paths, once used by muleteer, following the side of high mountains. The High Verdon is a land of contrast that you will discover at the pace of the horses. On the way you will meet herds of sheeps or goats, and in the evening, you will have the pleasure of tasting the different goat cheeses at the dinner table. The big open spaces of the High Verdon will take your breath away.

A ride around the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire. You will discover why such famous painters as Cezanne fell in love with these contrasting landscapes. The bright white limestone cliffs, the blue of the sky, the green of pine forests and the red clay at the foot of the mountain offer a mosaic nature where you can discover about 900 vegetal, 27 mammalians,  126 birds species.

A ride to finish the year riding under the famous sun of Provence. Day or half day rides in the Luberon Regional Nature Park, in the forests or along vineyards, olive and other fruit trees. Hot picnics will be brought by our assistant. You will come back every night to le Mas de Recaute to enjoy the aperitive with Didier, your host, in front of the fire place. You will apreciate dinners prepared by our chef Gaël. And for the New Year eve, a memorable Provencal dinner and party.

An unwonted country of fragrances, colours and contrasts, between salt marsh and sand beaches : Camargue offers its charms to visitors but without disclosing itself completely. To grasp the intensity of this mysterious land, we invite you to come and live a week in this country, where even time stops …

The Dordogne Valley lies in Southwest France, where little has changed since the end of the Middle Ages. You will ride in the beautiful Perigord Noir region of Dordogne using horses of mixed breeding. Here you will ride through and around wheat fields, breeding pastures, strawberry fields, plum and chestnut orchards. You will pass farmhouses and castles, which have stood since the 13th century. Also you will have an opportunity to visit the famous Bastide Monpazier, a medieval, gridiron shaped town with surrounding fortifications and gates on each face of the town walls.

The very name of Bordeaux has come to mean great wines. No part of France is able to produce a wider variety of the noblest wines than the Gironde area surronding the city of Bordeaux. Riding through this area, you will have the opportunity to taste great wines such as Medoc, Cote de Blaye, Cote de Bourg, Bordeaux Superior, Bordeaux Lalande, Pomerol, Saint-Emilion, Cadillac, Graves, Sauternes. You will ride through landscapes of some of France’s richest architectural land, You will pass neat and picturesques farms, rolling meadows, ancient villages, churches and castles. Much of the area has not changed significantly for the last several hundred years ...

An unforgettable ride during which will unfold before your eyes a variety of landscape, from dry maquis to green chestnut forests, from sand beaches, to running mountain streams.

On horse back, your senses wide awake … Corsica, in all its majestic and wild splendour.

This circuit encompasses several of the most important Renaissance castles. We will visit: Chaumont sur Loire (15th century), heritage of Diane de Poitiers, Amboise (15th century), residence of several French kings, Chenonceau, known as the “Castle of the ladies”, Cheverny (17th century) which has been owned by the same family for 7 centuries, Chambord, the hugest of all castles built by François I. Optionally, you may visit the castle of Blois, built in the Middle Ages by the counts of Blois, the powerful feudal lords - a truly exceptional architectural site.

This valley has charmed the kings of France by its natural heritage. They built sumptuous residences which are still beautifully preserved, including castles and manors which are open to visitors. During this trip we will have the opportunity to visit the castles of Chenonceaux, Amboise, La Bourdaisiere, Villandry, Azay le Rideau, and the Fontevraud Abbaye where Henry Plantagenet and the queen Aliénor d'Aquitaine rest for eternity. We will finish our trip in Saumur where the national riding school is based.

An incredible diversity of the landscapes and sights of the immense territory of Italy: Tuscany. In the heart of this colorfull region - between mountains, valleys, hills and forests - you will discover the ridges of the Sienna Mountains or « Sienna’s costum », which where until the year 1800, the border between the great duchy of Tuscany and the Papal State. An historical experience too, as you discover the remains of the mysterious Etruscan civilization.

Following the Celtic trails, from the Slieve mountains in the heart of the island, to the historical Galway bay, on the West coast. This six days horseback riding trip offers to discover the nicest landscapes of Ireland, from Galway and Clare counties. You will be able to discover the famous Aran island and the Buren landscapes.

In the heart of Andalusia, this ride offers to discover the spectacular Sierra Nevada landscapes. Near Guadix, you will ride through canyons and deserts, contrasting with forests and meadows in the mountains. You will discover nice white villages with architectural contrasts between Spanish and Arabian styles: this area was one of the last Moorish occupation in Spain. The last day, you will enjoy a tour in Guadix for some shopping and taste the famous tapas:  the best we have found in Andalusia !

Your lessons will be on experienced eventers or purebred and crossed bred Spanish horses, depending on your particular interest. Each day you will receive two 45-minute lessons concentrating on your individual goals. Either before or after your lessons you will be able to hack out in the dramatic Castilian countryside. This vast unspoiled land is dominated by mountains, castles, medieval villages and rolling hills for fun gallops.  The accommodation and equestrian center is located near the medieval town of Pedraza, just over an hour outside of Madrid. Offering very comfortable rooms, excellent cuisine and very tranquil surroundings, you will be able to truly focus on learning. At the end of each day, you will enjoy the excellent Spanish wines and gourmet dinners with the chance to discuss the previous day progress and watch the interesting international collection of training and events videos and DVDs, available in the house.

Route through the North of Barcelona region letting you discover natural settings of great beauty between Barcelona and Montserrat. The route runs through the Sant Llorenç del Munt i Serra de l’Obac Nature Park where we’ll find cultural gems, incredible landscapes, local cuisine and villages, which will bring us back to the Middle Ages. With its Mediterranean climate, Sant Llorenç combines thick woodlands with sheer cliffs and rounded rocks, mixing various shades of colour and forming a particular ruggedness full of monoliths, grooves, grottos and caves.

Majorca  is considered to be the jewel of the Mediterranean islands. Island of 120 beaches, swaying palm trees and white sand. However, Majorca's diversity is very rich, with many wonderful villages dotting the landscape, fields of fruit trees, plains and mountains. The equestrian center where you will come back every night is very comfortable, and you will be able to enjoy the swimming pool or their spa and hammam.

Mallorca with its climate, beaches and fields has all the natural and  ecological conditions to make possible an adventure always in contact with the colorful nature.The main objective of this trail week is to visit five wonderful  reclaimed monasteries which are part of the historical island heritage. The magnificent beauty of the paths and ways of the Trails we´ll be riding will bring us back to the times of the great “Mallorquinas plantations” ( noble large houses  with extensions of land made up of crops and live stock which founded the economic basis in the area.). Fun and enjoyment will be shared by everyone and are always guaranteed, by taking in fantastic views of all the interesting and idyllic resorts that we are going to visit on horseback and we will ride all the modalities as walk, trab and canter when the paths allow us to. During the Trail ride the equestrian group are guided under the supervision of an expert guide who will always be in touch with our support-vehicle.
