Horseback riding in Andalusia. The Natural Park of Doñana is a paradise for horses, in the most important European continent wetland. Between the provinces of Huelva, Seville and Cadiz, Doñana is a labyrinth of land and water, marshes, ponds and streams, pine forests, dunes, beaches and cliffs providing shelter to thousands birds. The park is also a dune system that lies between Matalascanas and the mouth of the Guadalquivir: more than 25 kilometers of white sandy beaches. Here, "the horse is the king" ! The natural park has over 1000 wild horses of Marismeña breed, or horse of the marshes, one of the ancestors of the Iberian horse.

HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDE IN ANDALUCIA
INDICATIVE PROGRAM *


DAY 1: Meeting at Seville airport, transfer to Rocio. Installation at your hotel, presentation of your ride, dinner and overnight in Rocio.

DAY 2: EL ROCIO - EL ROCIO. You will leave El Rocío, on the way to Los Taranjales, a region of horses, where there are numerous and prestigious Spanish purebred breeders such as Yeguada Andic and Rosa, as well as Anglo-Arab riders like Bionest. You will follow the path that is used every year by "los Yegüerizos" for the mares pilgrimage, centuries-old tradition of great beauty: "la saca de las yeguas". Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Rocio. About 4 hours 1 / 2 on horseback.

DAY 3: EL ROCIO - VILLAMANRIQUE. Today, you will follow the trail leading from El Rocio to Seville, the cattle route of La Raya Real, one of the paths followed by thousands of pilgrims of the famous pilgrimage of El Rocio. You will pass the Palacio del Rey: an old farm where the personalities of the court of the king lodged during the big hunts that were organized in these reserves. They have become a breeding and working site for cattle and wild horses. Dinner and overnight in a hotel near Seville. Approximately 5 1/2 hours on horseback.

DAY 4: VILLAMANRIQUE - DEHESA OF LOS TORNEROS - VILLAMANRIQUE. During this day, you will cross the cradle of dressage "doma vaquera". Here alternate the meadows and the pine forests. You return to the hotel in the evening. About 5 hours on horseback.

DAY 5: VILLAMANRIQUE - ALMONTE. Today, you will follow the trail link between the salt marsh and the cultivated areas, such as grapevine, olive, sunflower, cereals. Here, the horse played an important role in the development of agriculture. You end the day in Almonte, in the heart of the Doñana. Dinner in an old vineyard, cradle of the best cognacs and wines of Spain, now transformed into a wine museum. Approximately 5 1/2 hours on horseback.

DAY 6: ALMONTE - CABEZUDOS - MAZAGÓN. This day, you will discover the wild environment of the natural area of ​​Doñana, without forgetting the world of the horse. You pass through areas where the Marismeño horse and the Mostrenca cow breed freely. You will discover the old forest village of Cabezudos, and continue towards the coast of Doñana until the old surveillance tower of the pirates "del Loro". Dinner and overnight in hotel. Approximately 5 1/2 hours on horseback.

DAY 7: MATALASCAÑAS - EL ROCIO. For this last day, you will ride half a day following firebreaks crossing Doñana Park, which take you to the magical village of El Rocío, which you can visit in the afternoon. Approximately 3 1/2 hours on horseback.

DAY 8: End of your horseback riding in Andalusia, transfer to Seville airport.
