Four days Easter and Pentecost horseback riding trip in the Camargue for experienced riders. Discover the heart of the Camargue and its beaches on horseback. Before reaching the coast, you'll ride on beaches, through the marshes, alongside the rice paddies.
INDICATIVE ITINEARY
Friday: Meeting at 2 pm in the Camargue. Departure from the Mas around 2:30 pm for a two-hour ride on traditional Camargue horses, during which we will discover the rich inland landscape of the Camargue Regional Natural Park. Free (not included) dinner to enjoy Saintes-Maries-de-la Mer village and overnight at the Mas.
Saturday: 8am, Horse preparation, breakfast around 8:30 am. Departure on horseback around 9:30 am for a day's ride. We'll ride along the banks of the Petit Rhône, which has been dammed to protect the Camargue. We'll cross the Petit Rhône on the "Bac du Sauvage" (ferry) with the horses, heading towards the "Domaine du Grand Radeau," a private estate whose history will be shared by your guide! We'll visit this wild place, discover its beach and pine forest, and learn about the Camargue's flora and fauna. We'll have a picnic lunch on the beach, with the possibility of swimming during the midday break. We'll return to the Mas (farmhouse) via the inland route. Aperitif, dinner, and overnight stay at the Mas.
Sunday: 8am, preparing the horses, breakfast at 8:30 am. Departure for a day's ride at 9:30 am. Ride towards Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer along bridle paths, between fields and ponds. Discover the different "levels" of the Camargue all the way to the coast… Picnic at "Bouvao d'Aubanel," in the shade of the Laupio tree… Translations and explanations of these words will be provided by your guide! In the afternoon, explore the East Beach of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and the Imperial Bird Reserve… Landscapes of marshes and salt flats, the richness of Camargue flora and fauna… A multitude of birds can be seen depending on the season (350 species of migratory birds have been recorded in the Camargue…). End of the ride at "Pointe de Cacharel." Transfer by minibus, aperitif and dinner before your last night at the Mas !.
Monday: 8 a.m., preparing the horses, breakfast around 8:30 a.m. Departure on horseback around 9:15 a.m. for a morning ride. Discover the Camargue bull and horse breeding farm, explore the cultivated lands of rice, wheat, and market gardens, and of course, spot birds and coypus.
End of the stay after lunch.

MEETING:
Meet in the Camargue at 2 pm on Friday. Arrive by train at Arles or Nîmes station and connect to the train in Arles, then take a bus to Pioch Badet. Free transfer from the Pioch Badet bus stop (Arles - Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer bus line). See timetable. Taxis are available from Nîmes or Montpellier train stations and airports. Alternatively, take a train from Marseille airport to Arles and then a bus from Arles to Pioch Badet.
DEPARTURE:
Your stay in the Camargue ends at 2 pm after lunch on Monday. Free transfer to the Pioch Badet bus stop and bus to Arles train station (see timetable). Alternatively, taxis are available to the train stations or airports of Nîmes or Montpellier.

At the equestrian center, in a typical and simple Camargue farmhouse. 2 bedrooms for 2 people with private bathrooms and two single beds, 1 bedroom for 3 people with private bathrooms and 3 single beds, 1 chalet for 3 people with 1 double bed and 1 single bed (shared bathrooms outside the chalet).


MEALS:
In the evening, authentic, family cuisine is offered to you at the guesthouse table. 1 dinner is free (not included): you can go in one of the many lively restaurants in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (by taxi if you don't have a vehicle, 50 € per person round trip). Picnics carried in the saddlebags or brought by an assistant (depending on the number of participants).

Registration fee: 15 €.
THE PRICE INCLUDES:
The rental of the equipped horse, the guide, full board accommodation (except for Friday evening's free meal), drinks during meals, transfers to/from the Pioch Badet bus stop, the financial guarantee of your payments by our travel operator guarantee.
THE PRICE DOESN'T INCLUDE:
Individual insurance, Friday evening dinner, drinks outside of meals, registration fees (€15 / person), tourist tax (approximately €3 / adult over 18 years old to be paid on site in cash), anything not listed under "the price includes".
Nous sommes ravies de notre séjour. L'accueil était parfait, les gens passionnés, simples, accueillants sans pour autant être "trop touristiques". Juste ce qu'il faut. Un grand merci à eux ! Mon cheval était excellent. Bon de l’hébergement. Je recommande le centre de tourisme équestre pour la qualité de son accueil, de ses programmes de randonnées, de la convivialité de toute l'équipe ainsi que de son professionnalisme. Quelques jours se sont écoulés depuis notre retour de week-end. Nous avons été enchantées. Réellement. Nous avons découvert la vraie Camargue, rencontré des personnes généreuses et entières. Les paysages étaient magnifiques, les chevaux au top, un guide super.
L’équipe va nous manquer, son gratin dauphinois aussi. Nous parlons déjà d'une prochaine fois, et au même endroit. Merci pour votre orientation. Nous avons chacune réalisé un rêve d'enfance, et vous y aurez contribué. Merci.
