A week dedicated to trail riding in Provence landscapes and villages, to taste the Mediterranean food .... Accommodation at Fontenille : a luxury hotel with great Provence gourmet dinners (not included to be able to choose your menu and wine).
DISCOVER THE LUBERON & THE CAMARGUE
This trail ride will make you discover two contrasting aspects of Provence on horseback, in two protected Natural Parks: the Luberon hills and the Camargue beach and swamps.
In the Luberon, the 4 first days with our horses, you will ride our horses with our guide in hills to discover the protected nature of the natutal park with it's fauna and flora, fruit cultures (olive, peach, apricot, cherry, almond), wineyards. A day with a picnic on the banks of the Durance will introduce you to a wide variety of migratory birds including the superb gray heron, and perhaps the bee-eater or beaver ... and an optional day to the Luberon ridges.
In the Camargue, the 3 last days with a local guide and Camargue horses, you will ride among flamingos, Camargue horses and bulls, to reach the Mediterranean beach for a great canter: a contrasting flat landscape with the Luberon hills !

A Two week horseback riding trip to discover all the landscapes of Provence: A first week from the Luberon to the Upper-Provence, through Provence villages with the scents of Provence herbs while walking through thyme, sage , rosemary, wild lavender. A weekend of rest to visit the beautiful city of Aix en Provence. Then a second week from the Luberon to the Camargue, from the hills to the marshes and beaches of the Camargue. The end in the Camargue: you discover working on horseback with the bulls in a herd, and have a nice gallop on the beach!
