WEEK END A CHEVAL DANS LE LUBERON
PROGRAMME INDICATIF *
Day 1: Meet in Lauris at 9:00 AM. Ride up the Luberon ridges to the summit of the Petit Luberon, with a picnic in a magnificent cedar forest. Enjoy exceptional views stretching to Mont Ventoux and the peaks of the Southern Alps to the north, and across the Durance Valley to the Montagne Sainte-Victoire—so dear to Cézanne—to the south. Return to your gîte around 5:00 PM.
Day 2: Head to the Durance—a splendid, still-wild river that is home to many remarkable birds, such as the stunning bee-eater, the calandra lark, and the little bustard. Enjoy a picnic by the water, with the option to swim if the weather is fine. Return via olive groves, truffle orchards, and vineyards. Your trip concludes around 5:00 PM.

The morning of day 1 at 9am in Lauris in the Luberon. Lauris is located 1 hour from Marseille and Avignon, 1/2 hour from Aix en Provence.
Late afternoon on day 2 around 5pm.

RIDING LEVEL: 
To participate and enjoy this ride, you must be comfortable at the three gaits outdoor (walk, trot, canter) on balanced horses.
AGE & MAXIMUM WEIGHT:
From 12 years, 85 kg maximum.
RYTHM:
5 hours riding per day on average: 2-3 hours in the morning, 2-3 hours in the afternoon,. At three gaits: walk, trot, canter when the terrain allows it.
GROUPS:
4 + the guide.
GUIDE:
1 qualified guide speaking French and English
HORSES:
Varied local crossings (mainly Spanish and Lusitano crosses), of medium size, selected for their character and adapted to the type of rides we offer. All our horses are trail riding "professionals": they only do this activity. They are never locked in boxes, they live in herds all year round, out of season from November to March: in semi-freedom on more than 500 ha. For these reasons, they are balanced, kind and willful. Horses are allocated after discussion with your guide, according to your height, weight, level and experience.
TACK:
Comfortable trail ride saddles equipped with saddle bags. Trail ride saddles are especially designed for long rides as well as for the gaits employed on this type of terrain. The saddles are comfortable for both the horse and the rider.
ACCOMMODATION: 
In a comfortable guesthouse in bedroom.
Les Gargoulettes - bedroom with covered swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi
MEALS:
The evening meal is taken at the host table of your guesthouse. Lunch picnics are taken on horseback in saddlebags.

THE PRICE INCLUDES:
Horse and tack rental, guide, accommodation, meals, drinks during meals (table water and 1/4 of wine), the financial guarantee of your payments by our travel operator deposit.
THE PRICE DOESN'T INCLUDE:
Individual insurance, not included drinks, any visits, tips, anything that is not indicated in "the price includes".
INSURANCE:
A civil liability and travel insurance (assistance/repatriation) is compulsory. A cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
A payment by credit card can make you benefit from its possible insurance (check your contract).
We offer to Europe Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway residents: the Chapka insurances.
Cap Security: full insurance with cancellation. Cap Cancellation: cancellation only.

Very friendly welcome. No problem with security issue. I rode One the first day and a mare whose name I forgot the second (ex broodmare broken in at 10 years old...) they were both impeccable and adorable! I appreciated the comfort of the upholstery.
I appreciated the home cooking of my hostesses who ideally adapted to my vegetarian diet. Very pleasant accommodation with every comfort.
Great first trail riding experience!
The guide knew how to adapt the pace and route to my aspirations and my level.
