Horseback riding in the Luberon. Three days on horseback between the Petit and Grand Luberon: a diversity of landscapes and exceptional views. Comfortable accommodations with swimming pools, a welcome pleasure in summer after a long day on horseback !
INDICATIVE ITINERARY *
Wednesday: Meet in Lauris at 9 a.m. Day of horseback riding in the Luberon with a picnic on the ridges in a cedar forest. Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight stay.
Thursday: Departure for two days of horseback riding with an overnight stay in an inn in the heart of the Luberon. In the morning, we follow the foot of the Petit Luberon to Lourmarin, a listed village where Albert Camus lived and is buried. image 1046At midday, after a pleasant lunch in the shade of truffle oaks, we climb to the ridges of the Grand Luberon, discovering unforgettable views of the Alps to the north and the Mediterranean to the south. Arrival at the Auberge des Seguins, dinner and overnight stay at the inn. If the inn is unavailable, the horses remain at the inn, the riders are transferred to their accommodation in Lauris.
Friday: Return along the Gorges de l’Aiguebrun, a site famous for its superb climbing cliffs. We return to the Plateau des Claparèdes and its lavender fields before a picnic break near Bonnieux. In the afternoon, we return to Lauris, crossing the Petit Luberon through its shady valleys. Departure.

Be able to handle the horse independently, be comfortable at the walk and trot, and have already cantered outdoors without any apprehension.
RYTHM:
5 hours per day on horseback on average.
GUIDE & ASSISTANT:
1 qualified guide speaking French and English + 1 professional assistant ensuring the preparation of midday meals.
HORSES:
Essentially crosses of Spanish, Arab, French breed. Horses are allocated according to each rider weight, height, riding level and experience. All our horses are trail riding “professionals”. Living throughout the year in a herd, trail riding is their only work activity. For these reasons, they are well-balanced gentle, yet wilfully engaged.
TACK:
Comfortable trail ride saddles, hollow and secure, fitted with saddlebags. Comfortable for both the horse and the rider.
ACCOMMODATION:
- Wednesday: In a comfortable bed and breakfast with swimming pool, next to the equestrian center.
- Thursday: in an Inn in bedroom or dormitory in the Luberon.
- 3 person bedroom: 1 large 2 person bed (o share) + 1 single bed
* Please note: the night in an inn in the heart of the Luberon during the two progressive days is subject to availability of the accommodation, in the event of unavailability: return by minibus to your accommodation in Lauris.

Les Seguins - Typical inn in the heart of the Luberon.
1 night during the progressive ride (subject to availability).
In case of unavailability, the horses stay at the inn, the riders are transferred to their accommodation in Lauris.
MEALS:
The breakfasts are traditional French breakfasts: hot drinks with bread, butter, jam, honey, cereals, fruit juices (no cheese, eggs, …).
At lunch, picnis are taken in saddle bags.
Dinners are prepared by your hosts at the guesthouse, one dinner at the inn (if available) during the 2 progressive days. Local cuisine, varied and refined. Special diets (vegetarian and medical requirements) can be accommodated. Wine is included with meals.
2025 PRICE / PER PERSON:
In 2-3 person bedrooms for 2 nights: 885 €/ person
Single room supplement for 2 nights*: 120 €
In a 2-3 person bedroom 1 night in dormitory 1 night: €850
Single room supplement for 1 night*: 60 €
Administration fee: €15
* If you book a shared room and we do not have a registered guest to share, the "single room" supplement will be charged and refunded if someone registers and also wishes to share.
THE PRICE INCLUDES:
The equipped horse, the guide, the transport of luggage during the progressive ride (if the accommodation is available), full board accommodation, the financial guarantee of your payments by our travel operator deposit.
THE PRICE DOESN'T INCLUDE:
Individual insurance, drinks out of meals, any visits, transfers from / to Marseille airport or Aix-en-Proevence train station, all that does not 'is not indicated in "the prices include".
INSURANCE:
A civil liability and travel insurance (assistance/repatriation) is compulsory. A cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
A payment by credit card can make you benefit from its possible insurance (check your contract).
We offer to Europe Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway residents: the Chapka insurances.

La semaine dernière j'ai eu un grand plaisir de passer une semaine au Mas de Recaute et de faire le séjour Cheval & Nature en Luberon. Mon guide, Paul, m'a emmené sur des randonnées magiques à travers le Luberon. Il est plein de connaissances sur la Provence et son histoire. Notre chef nous a préparé d'excellents repas, comme le canard grillé à la cheminée, la ratatouille provencale, sa tapenade maison, et de superbes salades. Pierre nous a préparé des pique-niques fabuleux. Merci de m'avoir emmené découvrir le marché de Lourmarin. Après les diners, je me sentais comme faisant partie de l'équipe, dansant, chantant avec tout le monde ! Le meilleur des services de la part d'une équipe professionnelle. Je suis décidée à revenir pour faire la randonnée à cheval du Luberon à la Camargue !
