INDICATIVE ITINERARY *

Day 1: Arrival in Barcelona or Girona and short transfer (approximately 30 minutes from Girona) to your first accommodation: a typical Catalan house built of natural stone. This secluded spot is ideal for relaxing! You'll spend the first night of your horseback riding tour in Catalonia here.

Day 2: Forest, countryside, and along the river. After a delicious breakfast, you'll arrive at the equestrian farm where you'll meet your proud Spanish horses. You'll saddle up and begin your first day of horseback riding, which will take you through dense oak and pine forests towards the Fluvia River. Sunlight pierces the deep green of this tropical-looking jungle. Bamboo lines the trail, and vines climb the trees. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Costa Rica. Around midday, you'll arrive in a typical village with stone houses and stop at an old olive oil mill. While enjoying delicious tapas, you'll have the opportunity to taste different olive oils and learn more about their production. In the afternoon, you'll ride back to the accommodation where you spent the first night. The chef, Toni, will prepare a Catalan dinner for you.

rando EspagneDay 3: Catalan Villages – Spanish Horse Stud Farm. The trails wind through the verdant floodplains bordering the river. A gentle tranquility envelops us. You ride through Catalan stone villages, the sound of hooves echoing in the narrow streets. At lunchtime, in the shade of centuries-old cork oaks, a beautifully set table awaits you, laden with exquisite dishes prepared by Chef Toni. After this feast, you take a siesta before continuing your journey towards the coast in the afternoon. Surrounded by rice paddies, your impressive accommodation for the night is the oldest Spanish horse stud farm in Catalonia. The stud farm boasts over 30 broodmares and excellent stallions that exert a decisive influence on the breeding of the Pura Raza Española breed. The horses bred here are distinguished not only by their beauty, but also by their excellent temperament and docility. It's not just the magnificent Spanish horses and their history that await you here, but also comfortable rooms. The refined furnishings and pleasant atmosphere are perfect for relaxing after a day in the saddle. For dinner, Toni will once again delight you in this wonderful setting.

Day 4: Let's go to the beach! Your ride begins today at sunrise. The Bay of Roses stretches out before you. Facing seemingly endless sandy beaches and the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, you gallop along a trail winding through the dunes. After this unforgettable experience, you return to the stud farm, where Toni prepares a delicious lunch in the garden. You enjoy breathtaking views of the magnificent chestnut horses grazing in the lush green pastures. Afterward, a guided tour of the stud farm awaits you. There, you'll discover the history of Purebred Spanish Horses. You can wander at your leisure and relax. Who knows? You might even find your dream horse here! In the evening, Toni prepares another delicious meal for you!

Day 5: Peralada – A Journey to the Middle Ages. Trotting and cantering, you arrive at the medieval village of Castelló with its impressive cathedral. Crossing pastures, you canter briskly alongside vineyards and sunflower fields towards a historic wine-growing village. Toni has already prepared a delicious three-course meal for you at your accommodation. After riding and culinary delights, it's time for culture! You head to the magnificent castle and cathedral, which you visit. This is followed by a visit to the local bodega, where you discover the history and traditional production of wine. To conclude this memorable day, you enjoy another delicious dinner prepared by the chef.

Day 6: Vineyards and Olive Groves – Visit to a Winery. You follow the course of the Llobregat River on horseback, then cross the wild landscapes at the foot of the Albera Massif. Olive groves and cork oak forests now dominate the landscape, dotted with enchanting vineyards. You visit a family-run winery to taste the region's finest wines and savor Catalan specialties prepared by the winemakers. Refreshed, you ride along patiently laid stone terraces. Centuries-old olive trees line the path. Numerous multicolored flowers bloom in the Orlina floodplain. Pre-Christian Celtic tombs bear witness to a glorious past. The Empordà plains form a natural amphitheater surrounded by mountains, opening onto the Gulf of Roses. You'll spend the night in Emilia's country house in the village of Garriguella, nestled in the heart of the vineyards. The elegant furnishings, the hot tub, and the inviting atmosphere are perfect for relaxation. Tonight, Toni will once again prepare delicious dishes that will delight your taste buds.

Day 7: The Gulf of Lion. The horses eagerly climb the coastal mountains, the last foothills of the Pyrenees. Reaching the summit, a breathtaking panorama unfolds before you, encompassing the entire Gulf of Lion as far as the mysterious Canigou. A bay nestles gently at your feet in the coastal mountains. On its beach, Toni awaits you with a lavishly set table and chilled cava. You have arrived at your destination! Those who wish can take a dip in the Mediterranean. Afterward, you return to Emilia's guesthouse for dinner and conclude this eventful week.
