Two Days Inn to Inn across the Luberon Nature Park, Heart of Provence. This ride is the 2nd part (2 last days) of our week "Luberon & Provence Colorado, Perched Villages" ride.

Itinerary

INDICATIVE ITINERARY :

Wednesday: Meeting in Lauris at 5 pm. or Aix-en-Provence train stations, or Marseille airport. Transfer to Cereste.

Thursday: From Cereste to Buoux. Your ride will follow the foot of the Luberon, ride along vineyards, and all kind of froot trees: cherry, apricot, peaches all blooming in April and May. You will cross an other charming perched village, Auribeau, before going down to the Aiguebrun rever and ride down cliffs in a green canyon before arriving to a stonebuilt Inn in the heart of the.

Friday: From Buoux to Lauris. You will ride up to the crests of the Luberon to discover an exceptional landscape and a view on the Alps to the North, on the Mediterranean to the South. Then, you will ride down to Lourmarin. Picnic and visit the village and its 12th century castle, a charming Proven- cal village that inspired the famous American writer, Peter Mayle, who is now living near the village. You will then ride back to Mas de Recaute through the olive trees and cherry orchards, with nice views on the Sainte Victoire mountain, “Cezanne’s mountain”. Optional overnight at Mas de Recaute or in a nearby hotel.

MEETING/DEPARTURE
RENDEZ-VOUS: 

Si vous venez en voiture, rendez-vous au Mas de Recaute à Lauris dans le Luberon à 18h. Les véhicules restent au Mas de Recaute. Transfert pour Céreste (ou nuit au Mas de Recaute et transfert le lendemain matin suivant les dates). Taxi depuis l'aéroport de Marseille Provence, la gare d'Aix en Provence TGV ou la gare d'Aix en Provence centre. Ou bus d'Aix-en-Provence 16h55 à Lauris 18h. Navette de l'aéroport de Marseille et les gares de Marseille et Aix en Provence TGV.

SEPARATION:

Le vendredi en fin d'après-midi au Mas de Recaute à Lauris dans le Luberon. Taxi pour l'aéroport de Marseille Provence, la gare d'Aix en Provence TGV ou la gare d'Aix en Provence centre. Ou bus Lauris 16h42 à Aix en Provence 17h40. Ou transfert gratuit pour l'aéroport de Marseille Provence, la gare d'Aix en Provence TGV ou la gare d'Aix en Provence centre le samedi matin avec nuit supplémentaire à réserver.

Riding

RIDING LEVEL:  niveau équestre
To participate and enjoy this trip, you must be comfortable at the three gaits (walk, trot, canter) outdoors on balanced horses.

RYTHM:
First afternoon, 2 hour ride, other days, average 5 hours per day on horseback: 2-3 hours the morning, 2-3 heures the afternoon, with a break of around 2 hours at noon.

GUIDE:
1 qualified guide speaking French and English + 1 professional assistant ensuring luggage transports and preparing lunch buffets.

TACK:
Comfortable trail ride saddles equipped with saddle bags. Trail ride saddles are especially designed for long rides as well as for the gaits employed on this type of terrain. The saddles are comfortable for both the horse and the rider.

MEALS:
Dinners at the host tables in guesthouses, in local restaurants in the Camargue. Local cuisine, varied and refined. Special luberon horseback ridediets can be adapted. Wine is included with meals.

At noon, an assistant prepares hearty buffets (see pictures). For small groups, some picnics can be taken in the saddle bags.

LUGGAGE TRANSFERS:
Provided by the assistant in a minibus.

REPAS:

Pris tous les soirs au restaurant ou à la table d’hôtes des gîtes. Le midi, un assistant prépare de copieux buffets. Suivant l'effectif, le pique-nique pourra être emporté dans les sacoches.

In 2-3 person bedrooms: 600 €
Single bedroom supplement: 100 €
Additional night on Friday evening and free train / airport transfers on Saturday morning: 50€ in dormitory, 60€ in 2-3 people bedroom, € 80 € in single bedroom.

THE PRICE INCLUDES:
Equipped horse rental, guide, assistant ensuring the preparation of lunch buffets and luggage transport, accommodation, meals, transfer to the departure point, financial guarantee of your payments by our operator deposit of travel.

THE PRICE DOESN'T INCLUDE:
Individual insurance, drinks without meals, any visits, transfers from / to Marseille airport or Aix-en-Provence stations (the departure transfer is free if you book the night of Friday evening in supplement), all that is not indicated in "the price includes".

To register on a Cap Rando holiday, you must be covered by an individual liability insurance covering your activity, individual accident, assistance, repatriation, and possibly cancellation (strongly recommended not to lose your payment in case of unforeseen your cancellation insurance contract). This covers you for cancellation, interruption of stay, individual accident, assistance 24h / 24h, medical expenses abroad, luggage insurance, civil liability. 4. PAYMENT:
A 30% deposit is required upon booking, the balance being due 60 days before the stay date. Less than 60 days before your departure date, full payment is requested at registration.
