Horseback trail ride in Morocco, from the foothills of the Atlas to the Atlantic beaches. A trail ride offered (depending on dates) either camping some nights under tents, or with more comfort: all nights in bedrooms.

HORSEBACK RIDING TRAIL RIDE IN MOROCCO
INDICATIVE ITINERARY *

Day 1: Arrival in Morocco. Reception at Agadir airport, transfer to the hotel for a first night in Agadir.

rando à cheval MarocDay 2: Iwlite - Tadrine. You start the trail ride at the horse farm in Iwlite, 10km northeast of Taghazoute. Then your horseback ride begins with a path that climbs into the first mountains overlooking the ocean. You cross a cultivated region dotted with small Berber villages (douars), then you reach the start of the green valley where you stop for the picnic. In the afternoon, you follow this valley to the Tadrine palm grove. Night in a guest house.

Day 3: Tadrine – Asserne. You leave towards the village of Ait Lahcen, then you begin a long climb to the Tizi pass, from where you have a panoramic view of the valley and the High Atlas mountains. Visit to an agricultural cooperative before lunch break, in a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon you continue your way to the Asserne campsite. Night camping or in bedroom depending on date.

Day 4: Asserne – Equestrian farm. After breakfast, visit a traditional souk. Then, departure on horseback via a path which takes you to a hill which offers a beautiful view of the Tamaroute valley. Then, you begin the descent to the Oued. Lunch break in the valley. In the afternoon, you climb towards the Aousgmourte pass, and continue your way to the equestrian farm. Night at the farm.

Day 5: Equestrian farm – Imi wadar beach. Start of the ride through fields and argan orchards, then crossing several Berber villages. You arrive at Aghroud beach for lunch. In the afternoon: small stage which ends with a gallop on Aghroud beach. Possibility of a camel ride at sunset on the beach. Night camping or in bedroom depending on date.

semaine rando à cheval MarocJour 6: Imi wadar beach – Taghazoute. Your ride today takes place along the Atlantic coast: early in the morning, the ride begins on the Imi Wadar beach and Abouda beach. Then, via a path you climb to the village of Ikoz which overlooks the sea. You follow a downhill path you reach the small Madrague beach for lunch. In the afternoon, through an Argan forest, you arrive at the fishing village of Taghazoute. Night camping or in bedroom depending on date.

Day 7: Taghazoute – Horse farm. For your last day on horseback, you ride along the superb beaches of Taghazoute and Tamraghte, to the Devil's Rock. You enjoy long canters. Then, you leave the ocean, heading towards the mountains. Traditional lunch with locals. You arrive at the horse farm late in the afternoon. Transfer to your hotel for the night.

Day 8: End of your horseback riding in Morocco after breakfast. Transfer to Agadir airport.

Riding

RIDING LEVEL: Horse riding in Morocco
You must be able to walk, trot, canter outdoor, and in good physical condition.

GROUPS:
Up to 8 riders + guides.

RYTHM:
You ride 2-3 hours, 2-3 hours the afternoon at the 3 paces (walk, trot, canter) depending on the terrain.

GUIDE & TEAM: 
All rides are supervised by 4 people all from the same family: 2 on horseback and 2 assistants in charge of luggage transfers, camp and dinner preparation. The guide and the team speak French, the guide and most of the team speak English.

Comfort

ACCOMMODATION: or
Depending on the dates: All nights in bedrooms, or some nights camping under tents and some nights in bedrooms. Camping: a large mess tent is set up every evening, individual tents and comfortable mattresses are provided, an outdoor shower and toilet are available. A team follows the hike with stewardship vehicles, ensuring the preparation of bivouacs, the transport of luggage, and the preparation of meals.
MEALS:
Les repas du soir sont préparés sur place par le cuisinier, repas marocains chauds (couscous, tagine poulet aux légumes, viandes aux légumes,, grillades...soupe déssert, thé à la mente,café. Les boissons en randonnée: eau minerale, thé, café. L'alcool n'est pas inclus mais il est possible d'en acheter avant le départ de la randonnée (achat dans les magasins en ville). Le midi, les pique-niques sont emportés dans les sacoches, souvent des salades marocaines variées.  , .

THE PRICE DOESN'T INCLUDE: 
Individual insurance, extra drinks (out of meals and not include such as alcool and sodas), visits, tips, all that is not indicated in "PRICE INCLUDES".

INSURANCE:
A civil liability and travel insurance (assistance/repatriation) are compulsory. A cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
A payment by credit card can make you benefit from its possible insurance (check your contract).

Nous avons préféré le logement sous tente que chez l'habitant. Les repas étaient délicieux.
Le confort rudimentaire "aventure" nous convenait bien pour cette semaine à cheval.
L'itinéraire est magnifique !
La balade le dernier jour sur la plage aurait pu être plus longue (ou alors en faire une en plus lors de l'arrivée l'avant-dernier jour)
