HORSE RIDE IN JORDAN
INDICATIVE ITINERARY *
Day 1: Arrival in Jordan. Reception at Amman airport and transfer to the hotel in Madaba. Meeting and presentation of the team. Flight arrivals are generally late: dinner is not included. Night at the hotel in Madaba.
Day 2: Early departure for Petra (2h30 to 3h drive). Visit this mythical site, initially accompanied by a Jordanian guide (most of the time English-speaking) until you reach the exit of the Siq in Khazneh (the treasure). Snack at noon. Then, you are free to explore this majestic site on your own until nightfall. Dinner and overnight in a bedouin camp.
Day 3: After breakfast, meeting with the local team and allocation of horses according to the level of each. You ride for this first day on horseback, in one of the most beautiful places in the world to discover "Little Petra" and Baidah. Dinner and overnight in a bedouin camp.
Day 4: After breakfast, transfer to the Wadi Rum (1 hour drive) to meet your guide and the horses. You are riding south. You cross the valley of Um Ishrin, then reach your camp for lunch after 2 hours on horseback. In the afternDinner and overnight: camping.
Day 5: You go on horseback in the protected area of Wadi Rum, on beautiful tracks offering long canters. You pass by the natural arch of Um frouth, and the red sand dune with Anafishia inscriptions. Dinner and overnight: camping.
Day 6: Breakfast at the camp, then departure on horseback towards the area of the Um Frouth arch. Crossing beautiful red sand canyons and lunch at the foot of Burdha mountain. Afternoon ride on a beautiful track with a beautiful view of the red mountains of Wadi Rum. Dinner and overnight: camping.
Day 7: Crossing Barrah: another spectacular canyon in Wadi Rum, surrounded by high cliffs, where climbers are often seen. At the end of the canyon, you reach your lunch spot. Return to the village of Wadi Rum and visit Lawrence Wale. At the end of the ride, you say goodbye to our team and your horse. Transfer to the Madaba hotel with farewell dinner in one of the oldest restaurants in town.
Day 8: Departure after breakfast, transfer to Amman airport.
* Indicative itinerary. May be changed: the climatic conditions, the winds, the changing nature of the terrain, the physical condition of the riders ... determine daily the route, and the choice of camp locations. This under the responsibility of the guide, in charge of the group.
MEETING:
Day 1 (usually Saturday) evening at Amman airport. Transfer to your hotel.
DEPARTURE:
Day 8 (usually Saturday) after breakfast. Transfer to Amman airport.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
Amman airport transfers: ±20€ per person per way.
Transfers are to be paid on site in cash in € or US$, or by credit card.

RIDING LEVEL: 
You must be able to walk, trot, canter and galop outdoor on open spaces.
WEIGHT:
Maximum 85 kg.
HORSES:
Arabs or crossed, well balanced, trail rides professionals.
TACK:
English "Wintec" saddles.
GUIDE:
Local English speaking guide and assistants, tranfering luggage and preparing meals.
ACCOMMODATION: 
2 nights in a comfortable hotel, 2 nights in comfortable bedouin camps, 3 nights camping.
Bedouin camps: comfortable bedouin tents with beds and duvets. Common sanitary facilities.
Camping: 2-person tents with comfortable foam mattresses, 1-person tents if you are traveling alone. Showers are available, for use with basins.

MEALS:
Dinners are taken at the camps, prepared by the assistance team, or the bedouin camps, or in restaurants the nights in hotel. Lunches, during the horseback ride: picnics are prepared and brought by the assistance team.
LUGGAGE TRANSFER:
Every day, luggage is transported by assistance vehicles.

Single beroom supplement (2 nights in hotels): 100 €
Airport transfers (20 € / person / transfer) are to be paid on site in cash in € or US$ or by credit card.
** If you book in shared bedrooms and tents and we do not have a rider registered to share, the “single bedroom/tent” supplement will be charged and refunded if a person registers, also wishing to share.

Very caring welcome, we had nothing to manage, only to let ourselves be carried away.
Marmoud (the guide) and Amhed (his partner) are very welcoming, caring and available. We share real beautiful moments of exchange. Marmoud perfectly manages the safety of riders.
The horses are in very good condition and the guide really takes care of them. We feel that he loves them, that he preserves them as much as possible during the week, that he takes care of them. He is very vigilant about their condition, gives them time to recover, they are well fed and pampered.
