It is home to endangered species such as lynx, wolf, imperial eagle, deer, fallow deer, roe deer, mouflon, and wild boar. Species that find shelter in these mountains. Livestock is equally important, with vast pastures dedicated to breeding fighting bulls. This area has the highest number of horses in Andalusia relative to the number of inhabitants (over 4,000 horses).
